VELUX SunCurve Technology

The highly transmissive light-capturing VELUX SunCurve comes standard on every 22” Commercial SUN TUNNEL™ Skylight. It is designed to capture and curve sunrays that would normally pass through the dome and redirect them down the tunnel. This makes the SunCurve much more efficient in capturing low-angled sunlight and better managing the intense, direct midday sun.

The new VELUX SunCurve SUN TUNNEL™ offers options that allow you to customize your SUN TUNNEL.

• Security Kit inhibits break-ins with two crossed steel bars welded into a sturdy steel ring that can be securely attached through the upper collar .
• Turret Extender raises the dome for added roof clearance which increases performance and protects against water infiltration caused by flooded or snow-filled roofs.
• Daylight Controller  (electric) allows user to dim or block  light from entering the room below.
• Insulating Pane provides a thermal break as the tunnel passes through a commercial building’s insulation.

All VELUX SUN TUNNELS™ features a highly reflective silver layer that is electrostatically applied. This creates an ultra-smooth, highly reflective surface that provides better than 98% reflectivity…and it is warranted by VELUX for 20 years.
